River Legacy West Parking
Arlington, Texas
River Legacy Living Science Center is a nature center, located in the River Legacy Park. It brings to the public, live indigenous animals in their habitats, three interactive movie screens, and other museum quality exhibits. Special events, nature school, and summer programs are also offered. As attendance increased at River Legacy Park and Science Center, inadequate parking became an issue. The River Legacy Foundation Board commissioned mma to design a parking lot as close to the park entrance of the center as possible. The environmentally sensitive design successfully preserved a nearby trail built by Boy Scouts and saved as many trees as possible while providing forty new parking spaces. When the design was approved, River Legacy Foundation solicited the City of Arlington Parks and Recreation Department, Tarrant County and mma to help with the construction of the parking lot.
